Sharp today announced plans to produce a new type of screen dubbed ‘Free-Form Display’ that could radically change the shape of our future electronics. Recent years have brought a number of products with novel form factors, like the curved Samsung Gear Fit and the upcoming circular Moto 360 smartwatch. Sharp’s new display tech could potentially facilitate far more unique designs than presently possible.

Ultra-minimalist animal sculptures invade New Zealand Stark white pieces of art never looked so inviting: New Zealand-based sculptor Ben Foster creates aluminum forms of animals using modern, geometric shapes. The sculptures are the same size as the real animals they portray, and Foster photographs them in picturesque spots in the New Zealand countryside.

Japanese designer Hiroto Ikeuchi created a mecha-themed case mod inspired by anime such as Gundamn and Macross.
The PC’s peripherals, such its the USBs, keyboard, mouse and webcam have all been modified and the computer is in full working order. According to Wired, the case mod features eight USB drives, in the form of heavy artillery, to replace the machine’s Sandisk flash drives. The designer told Wired that “the most important thing” is to consider the case mod as a “living thing,” pointing out that “there are plenty of plastic models in Japan” allowing him to create anything.
